Spring 19 musings

Not being a lottery winner and being on the plus side of 60- figure I don’t have enough time left to plan a once a year out of state hunt in all 50 states; so I started thinking of different targets. Not brave enough to go to Mexico

I have a slam , killed a Rio hybrid in Kansas- how about a Merrimams hybrid or Osceola hybrid ?

What state should I look at ?

Watching Dave Owens videos in the summer is a great inducer to start planning

Washington State, if you have never been. It is a state you can kill 3 of the 4 birds for a slam and the views, can be out of this world.

There is no such thing as an Osceola hybrid. A gobbler shot north of that imaginary line is a pure Eastern,...and one shot south of that line is a pure Osceola. Don't you know nuthin?!

I always wondered how they keep those birds from crossing the line. :toothy7:

Northern Florida outfitters seem to believe all Florida turkey are Osceolas based on their prices- line must have moved up to Georgia border
