My season...
Started in deep SW TX. We had a good trip. My buddy and I were able to double up twice, and we came home with 6 birds.
Even found a little time to fish in the beautiful river that intersects the property. Crystal clear. Sight fishing is fun with aggressive bass. It was neat to see how they react to a bait.
Then I came back home to good ol Louisiana. Glad I heard plenty birds gobble in TX. It’s been bad. In fact, this is the only turkey I’ve heard gobble, and that was a week before the season. I’m pretty much done, minus trying to locate one for my dad, and going with friends. To say the least, I was happy to kill this 2 year old.

Congrats, Whacker. Looks like fun.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
