That was some storm we just went through in South New York. There was a 8 day frigid spell before that! Pretty sure 12 straight days of below 32 degrees beats the record this time of year. Getting close. I had to shovel 3 times yesterday in whiteout conditions. Good thing this frigid spell and massive snow storm happened early in the Winter as the wildlife---deer and wild turkeys are still very heavy from our record mast crop this Fall with still plenty more under the snow. The turkeys should do fine. Next week- NY will finally have above 32 degree weather.

It's been colder than a well diggers coondingy here in WV too, looking forward to some 30+ degree days.

I got a daughter in the Boston area and she said it is plum miserable there.

That is an apt description of the video I saw on the news. High water, ice and bitter cold=Miserable. Bless 'em.

Holly Cow.... a buddy just sent me a pic of a mess of divers they got off the east coast of NC yesterday, pretty well straight east of Charlotte, but the 3 in the pic. looked cold ... but sure were smilin'
