FINALLY!!!! #6

I haven’t seen a g-hog on my place since the last 1 I killed on 05/13/17 so I had pretty much stopped carrying the 223 when I went out back. We have gotten a lot of rain the past few days, 4.8” from Tuesday night through early this morning & my creek had flooded. I was walking the property today, 07/13/17 (2 months to the day), checking for damage & got to the back about 04:15 this afternoon &, of course, there was a pasture piggy. I went back to the house, got the rifle, & went back to the barn to sit & wait. I lasted about 10 minutes before the biting flies sent me back for the T-cell. At 04:55, this 1 made the mistake of sitting up on its hind legs on top of the rock pile. I figure the high water moved it into the rocks. I’m going to start checking more often.
