Twinky Gauge For Mom!

Post by guesswho »

After season I got the bright idea to get a twinky gauge and set it up for my Mom. I went with a Weatherby SA459, put a Sumtoy 562 in it, topped it off with a Vortex Venom and had the trigger worked to about 3 1/2 lbs. I ran some 3" Fed HW7's through it. I have to admit I was surprised at the patterns it put up. I'm not a paper puncher but wanted to make sure it would be a reliable 35-40 yard killer. I'm a little concerned with the 20 yard pattern, a little tight. Man it's a sweet little gun. I think she will be pleased. I hate to say it, but I may get another one and set it up the same way. Not for me, but for a "friend of mine"  Here's the lasered 40 and 50 yard patterns.

About the perfect pattern. That friend :? May never shoot a 12 again and wonder why he did not wise up sooner.

Those FHW7s are like a swarm of angry hornets going down range. I have been using them in my 12 for quite a few years & am more than happy with them. Nice set-up.

Based on the title, I thought you might be going on a diet & had Mom checking the size of the twinkys you were inhaling. :LMAO:

Used and abused a Venom on my Benelli this year. Never had an issue and am really pleased with it. At this point I would highly recommend it.

That should work well, along with a boot, for Coyote hunting!

Nice rig ya got there Ronnie!! You and your mom are going to enjoy that little Killer.
Looked over Gophert's while we hunted together. Very cool gun indeed. He must of not thought much of it, or he was too excited he finally killed a timber bird. He drove off and was half way back to Nashville when he realized he left it laying in the middle of my lawn!!! :LMAO:
I bet the ole Mossturd Mongrel would love that little jewel too.

I like it and I am sure your mom will as well,
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have no need for a 30-06, I have a shotgun
