What qualities do you like in a hunting buddy?

I had a friend that I talked hunting with every week for years. We finally went Deer hunting together. What a nightmare! We just didn't get along when it came to hunting together. I was laid back and he was too intense. He Got real MAD if he didn't kill something. But a great guy away from hunting.

I think there's a lot that goes into successful hunting buddies.

Me and my hunting buddy's have one thing in common. Our first priority is to be safe and have fun, second priority is to kill something or see something killed. That way if we don't kill something we still had a good time doing it.

To many people are to serious in all aspects of life, especially recreational activities. If your going hunting with me you better not have a stick up your butt, if you do it will be a short one time deal.

the ability to laugh and cut up and have a good time. Share some stories also. Killing something is icing on the cake. Intense Persons are a no-go with me.
I also like hunting with people that have more wisdom than me when it comes to hunting. I love learning more and more each year!

According to the experiences of my past hunting buddies, it's got to be someone that can put up with a wild-eyed, ranting, raving, frothing-at-the-mouth lunatic that is blind, deaf, and has no woodskills or hunting abilities whatsoever. Apparently, I'm still looking.....

I know there's another one out there somewhere,...that's why I hang out on turkey hunting forums.....
