What is the advantage of using photobucket over just loading direct to the site?

I don't know any other way to post other than photo bucket. I normally upload from my camera to Kodak. Then upload from Kodak to photobucket. From photobucket to this site. The problem is the same with my I Pad,Pc,or laptop.

I just click on "full editor" below and then click "choose file" and then once it is chosen from where I have it filed on my computer, I click "add file" and place it in my post. It is not hosted by any site other than this one by doing that. Seems to work fine that way for me and the site will actually show it in my post as a large "thumbnail" attachment, but it is clickable to view it full sized.

I'm not tablet guy and use Firefox on my home computer. I use Windows so Mac questions are out. But I do understand PB basics

Easiest way is to get the email address off there that goes to your bucket. Then you can just email the pics.

Red.. Your pic cannot be clicked on to bring it to full size. You can do this on Jamey's. I tried to post one last night with Jamey's method and I could post, but could not enlarge by clicking on it.
I do not see a "choose file" either. I see browse and add file.

How large was your original? My pic on my harddrive is 248k (and 1024x768) and that is also what it says it is under the pic in my post above. Yours says it is only 33k so if so that is already the pic at full size. Try uploading a larger pic, something in the 1024x768 range and see what happens.

Some of my pics are gone? I had some on there from back in 06-07 and now they're gone. They were on my acct a few years ago because I posted them on another forum. Don't knownif they delete themselves after a while or not but they were there about a year or so back.

I'll stick to Photobucket. It works fine for me.
