KNOW YOUR NUMBERS

Post by appalachianassassin »

yesterday was our know your numbers event at work. they take your blood and blood pressure. measure your height and weight. then give you 90 bucks for participating. so, I go in. the nurse takes my blood, then my height(5ft9in) then my weight(165lbs).she put my blood sample in a machine and started crunching numbers on a calculator. she called me back over, opened my chart and said. your numbers are perfect(cholesterol, glucose, ect...) but you are OVERWEIGHT. I said overweight. yes sir she says. I said what do you expect a man to look like. scrawny arms rob lowe.

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

5'9" 175 Lbs. here. I'm 20 pounds over what I weighed 35 years ago in high school & I'm not gonna worry about it. I will be enjoying some Key Lime Pie for dessert tonight too.

5' 10" 255 lbs. Could I stand to lose a "few".Ya.Do I worry about looking like some skinny azz fashion model so I can fit into the ideal weight range on their little chart, not even close. By the way I AM NOT FAT,i'm just short for my weight

My numbers have been all over the place since the crash. Blood pressure was off the charts for a few days afterwards, but they said it was coming from the extreme pain. Lost 20 lbs, but got 10 of it back. At 6 ft, 145 lbs, I'm a lightweight anyway.
At least my blood sugar came down to a decent level.

I'm 6'2" and 202 lbs. Have been 170 lbs since high school, got married and gained a bunch of weight lol. But I don't know if 202 is overweight for my height or not, but I look filled out better and not tall and anorexic looking.

5' 5" and 210

doc told me a few years ago (heavier back then) that my weight should be 160

I got fizzed real fast and then started laughing at him.

I told him I weighted 160 when I was 15. 180 @ 18 and when I joined th real world and worked my tail off I was over 200.

yeah I am overweight.. but I aint gonna look like I came out of a concentration camp.

nurse there talked to me after the doc left and told me not to listen to him. she said yeah, you need to lose a little bit, but for my build 185-190 and I would be like a scrawny kid again

I'd like to know where they get these numbers for "ideal" weight. According to their charts a typical NFL running back at around 5-10/6-0 weighing 200-225 is overweight or obese. Get real.
