28ga fold crimps.

Post by Hoobilly »

Had some problems with the Mec plastic start crimp tools and decided to go ahead buy the Ballistics Super Crown Crimper in 6 & 8 point and I am glad I did.

1.5oz is probably overkill in a 28ga load..

The plastic starter just doesn’t work well with new hulls. Those look great

I loaded some 20ga 3” yesterday using plastic that’s as good as any I’ve done Set it up for a feller who bought it from me and wanted it for the 3” instead of the 2 3/4”

Slight swirl but it ain’t gonna leak any buffer!

Real happy with the supercrowncrimper. Glad I bought them

That's about how my feds come out on my steel loads, cheds are a totally different story though l. Great crimps on new hulls.

I've been looking at those metal starters. May have to give em a shot.

Definitely use metal washers to set the crimp depth. That spring they send with it didn’t work so well for me
