I have a Savage 220A single shot 16Ga, and love it!!! Cut the barrel to 25”, so being it’s a single shot it’s compact, and light weight. I don’t feel like I’m at no disadvantage with a single shot. Call these 2 up last year on NF land and shot one. Then I called the other one back up and he was bigger than the other one so I shot him to! Steve

I like the 870 youth model. They are not easy to find, but if you find one, they are compact ( 23" barrel ) and come with Rem choke. You can then add a .610 or .630 Trulock choke. The 870 Express is a little easier to find, but has a longer barrel. As far as a semi, I also have an 1100, in 16 gauge.

Here is the 870 youth model, in 16 gauge. Another option is to buy an older Wing Master and have the barrel done to your favorite spec.
Good luck with your search.... Lots of SxS and model 12's out there.

Depending on your budget, I’m shooting a new Browning A5 sweet sixteen, that just using the included factory full choke I’m throwing 276 in 10” at 40yds, using Hals load
Awesome shooting gun, not to mention pretty light lightweight just under 7lbs I believe

Any thoughts on a Remington 48? I know its an older gun but is it worth getting one?
