I’m looking for the lightest most reliable semi auto 20ga for under $600, any suggestions?

My brother has the stoeger and likes it, but hasn't had it for long enough to say how reliable it is

I shoot a benelli, but I handled one of the stoeger 3020s at cabelas the other day. I may try one with a 28” barrel as a dove/ target gun.

Find a used Franchi Affinity. I picked up a compact model on Gunbroker last year for $515. Its lightweight and hasn't jammed on me yet after running a couple hundred bird loads and probably 25 turkey loads through it.

Weatherby SA459 20ga. All I’ve used the last three years. Has been a solid gun for me.

Can't go wrong with any of the mentioned guns. I have an SA20 turkey and M2, it is stressful every morning deciding which one to take.

I'm on the SA459 wagon. No issues here. But I have heard several instances where the gun is throwing the ejection bolt. One guy lost a tooth shooting one left handed. Mine has yet to have that issue.

A used benelli montefelfro would be my choice. Why settle for the knock-off when you can have the original. Plus, wood stock is way better than synthetic.

My dad snagged a "used" monte last year for my sister. It was sitting on the used rack. Had zero signs of burn powder in the chamber and no scratches. Been a wonderful little gun and a heck of a quail gun as well.

I have the Stoeger M3020 in camo synthetic stock with bronze cerakote finish. Tagged out on Thursday with it. Love this gun, especially with Fed TSS or Apex, only regret is I didn't get it last year.

I ended up getting a Mossberg SA-20 off GB with a 28” barrel, by the time I send it to sumtoy to be cut down and re-threaded I’ll still have less than $475 in it
