Stoeger M3020
Stoeger M3020
Just got an M3020 with 28" barrel, synthetic stock with cerakote bronze finish. First shot at 40 yds with Federal TSS #9 with Carlsons TSS .555 choke. Did not count hits, but ready to hunt after several similar patterns.

Nice rig!
How’s it feel in your hands? Well balanced?

Re: Stoeger M3020
Feels great, balances perfectly and for me, it is just narrow enough to sit in my hand in the sweet spot, but not too narrow that it will move. Locks in place. I have wanted one for quite a while and finally got the green light. Under 6 lbs, it will sit on my knee very well as soon as our season opens!

They're killer waterfowl guns. Been running one for about 3 years now. Rarely misses a beat. Have yet to take one turkey hunting as I despise long barrels.hoobilly wrote:Thanks for feed back on it. Haven’t held one and wondered

Do these guns come drilled and tapped?
Re: Stoeger M3020
The 20 does not, but the 12 does. I checked with Stoeger before I bought it and they confirmed it can be.

Next time I’m at the gun store I’ll check them outokiefowler wrote: ↑April 5th, 2019, 11:19 amThey're killer waterfowl guns. Been running one for about 3 years now. Rarely misses a beat. If it feels balanced in my hands I might buy one
Re: Stoeger M3020
I think you will like it. Everyone that has touched mine has been surprised at how good it feels. One has a Benelli and said it feels as good as his.
Re: Stoeger M3020
Held one at Bass Pro today. Very nice feel to it. This one had the 28” barrel. I would not want any longer than a 26.
Re: Stoeger M3020
How is the trigger pull?
Re: Stoeger M3020
I don't have a scale, but it is tolerable, about the same as my 870 was. I plan to switch out the springs and lighten it like I've done with every shotgun I own.
Re: Stoeger M3020
They suggest a Weaver 93A.

EGW makes a base for the red dot sights. Heavy duty
Re: Stoeger M3020
Nice! Exactly why I am calling after our season is over to get mine done by you. I got mine too close to opening day do anything, so put a dead ringer beard buster on for this season only.
For the trigger pull question earlier, my TTI ultimate reduced power trigger and hammer springs will be here tomorrow and will install them in the evening. Opening day is tomorrow, have a couple of local birds roosting in same tree nightly, so a good chance of breaking this 3020 in right in the morning.

Got this one with it yesterday. Dead on the spot, no 12 ga could kill it better!

very nice!
Re: Stoeger M3020
I tagged out with mine on Thursday. First bird was 64 yards, second was 55, both laser ranged and first was with Fed TSS #9, 2nd with Apex #9. I added TaranTactical lighter hammer and trigger springs and switched out the factory pad for a limbsaver. Best updates you can make for cheap.
