Stevens .410 choke thread pattern Qs

Post by Justin W »

It’s the winchoke thread pattern I believe, but my question is; Is that the same thing as “Standard invector” chokes? I found one on eBay that says “model 9410 standard invector” .410 full. I’ve never owned any guns that used winchoke style tubes before so I’m unsure if this is the same thread pattern. Anyone know?

I believe the choke must be specific to the Savage 301. The threads seem to be invector pattern, but the length seems to be different.

Ahah! You guys answered my question. Thanks. I need to find someone that wants to sell their factory 301 .410 choke

There so new I doubt you will find anyone who will sell the factory choke. Give it time and I'm sure sumtoy, Indian Creek, jebs or someone will start making chokes for this gun specifically. Might pick up a factory choke after somebody upgrades, but currently there's not much to upgrade to. I will say my savage 301 turkey with factory choke and factory federal 9's is less than impressive. I'm waiting it out though, I need components and 9.5's or 10's. Maybe even another choke when available.

I’m having a few chokes built, but the fella needs one to use as an example. He builds a lot of choke for a few big name companies when they contract jobs out. I just found out about this opportunity, but I’d hate to turn loose of the only one I have right now.

Honestly you might call Savage and tell them your choke gets loose every shot as you had mentioned in another post. They may send you a replacement to try. Mine screws loose every shot, not sure if it's the choke or gun.

On a side note my savage 301 turkey showed up with the swivels sling stud stripped and the choke tube never really gets tight. Best pattern has been like 95 in the 10. I had high hopes, but so far it's been a disappointment.

It's a win choke and there are aftermarket chokes available now for them

What is the consensus on these guns/factory full chokes? See some YouTube videos talking them up but ya never know what their motives are. Thanks.
