Has anybody ever used the Burris speed bead that is connected to the gun between the stock and the receiver?
My son needs one for his 20 gauge 391 and I don't want to have to drill the receiver if I can help it.
Thanks
Burris speed bead reflex sight for Beretta 391
Re: Burris speed bead reflex sight for Beretta 391
I have a speedbead mount and a FF3 sight on my 391 youth model and like it very much. I have heard complaints about them not holding zero but I have had no problems for the last two years. Good luck finding one, they have not been made for several years. I suspect you can modify a 12 gauge speedbead for the 20 gauge.

They are readily found on Ebay, Amazon and many places on the web, the Burris part number is 410678. Burris is still making them in fact they just recently came out with one for the 20 ga. Benelli M2.

I looked last night and could not find one. I found the one for the M2. Thanks for all the help. My boy's gun shoots about 12 inches to the right and I don't want him to miss.

They made one for the 20 g 391 but it was prior to the introduction of the FF3. The 12 g version may work, you would just have to get one and give it a try. You may have two issues with a 12 g mount: 1. the mount will probably be slightly larger than the stock and the action (no big deal, it will just stick out a little and you can easily grind/file it to fit), 2. the neck of the stock that fits into the receiver may be smaller than the inside "hole" of the speed bead (may or may not be a big deal).
