.410 Pump

Post by redarrow »

Does anyone make a .410 pump with interchangeable chokes .Factory drilled and tapped would be a bonus too.

Still shoots like a .410 and carries like a 12. My 12 ga. 870 SuperMag weighs 7 lbs. Gil

I don't see where it says interchangeable chokes on their site. Price wise Mossberg would probably be in the budget.

Browning bps has the chokes not the drill and tap. People make a big deal about the weight but i really dont notice it. What does it really matter? Weighs less than just about any scoped rifle we carry around and nobody will complain about a 7lbs scoped rifle.

.410 TSS equal old 12 gauge lead. If weight doesn't matter, might as well carry the 12.

170-190 the 13/16 oz load with 10’s patterns better at 40 yards, but falls off 60 percent at 50 yards. The 370NM doesn’t pattern as good at 40 yards, but only lost about 25 percent at 50 yards!!! I think speed helps the 370NM past 40 yards. Just my humble opinion.

Today I patterned a 13/16oz load of T9.5 at 40yds.
It put 124-140 pellets in a 12" circle for 3 shots, BUT it was a fixed full choke in a Mossberg 500 with 2 beads for sighting. The pattern was nice and even.

I had plans to get it threaded for a choke but I think that I am going to get it drilled and tapped and mount a scope but just leave the barrel as is.

All of my pics are too large to upload. I can text if needed.
