Remington 870 Youth Model 20 Gauge Shotgun

Post by Grumpy »

I bought this shotgun for my boy and now since his death I want to make it my dedicated turkey gun. I have a few questions I suppose later on but for now, Does the front bead on this gun unscrew, it is 13 yrs. old now since I bought it for him. I want to put in one of the fiber optic screw in front beads if at all possible, I though maybe someone here would have experience with this model and the front bead,,,,thanks

Ive got one that should be around that age and it is pressed in. I went with the tru glo mag gobble dot sights and Williams fire sights that don't have to use the screw hole. It worked for me.

I have the same truglo sights as swampchickin234. It has worked very well, I have a jellyhead choke tube and shoot 3" Hevi-shot #6's and it is deadly out to 40 yards. It has never let us down.

Sorry to hear about your son.
