How does the other barrel's POI match up with the above barrels POA? Gil

It ended up working out good enough. Not absolutely perfect but a turkey will nerves know the difference. Sighted in with the left barrel put a more open choke in the right barrel. Right barrel is just a fuzz off.

Good to hear. Great numbers, btw. Never heard any better. Shooting off a bead, red dot or rifle sights? Gil

I have found the O/U does good in that gun. Now this brings up also that the longer barrels work better in the 410 also. I like to see someone cut the forcing cone in one of them. That said I got a BPS but dont know if they cut the cone in it from the factory.

Red dot. He got a local milling shop to make him the custom mount.

As far as this pattern goes a one shot fluke or not it was pretty cool to break 200. I messaged Hal and asked him if had ever seen or heard of it being done and he said he had not and that it was very impressive. The numbers were holding in the 170-190's mainly in the 180's but this one shot broke 200. It does not average that as said above but it was cool to do it.

William here is a pattern from a Yildez single shot 9.5's with forced cone. He has 2 of them. Both single shots he had the barrels forced coned and about 2" of the barrel cut off and chokes made. We tested several different constrictions from .380-.385 and the .410's pellet counts are somewhat sparatic that I've noticed. 165 one shot the next 180's then back down in 160's then in the 170's. Just was kind of all over the board when we was doing out patterning and testing the constrictions. .380 would throw 2 awesome patterns then next shot it would drop off. Same for .383 and .385 same deal. Working with the SXS Yildez was a pain really both barrels were completely different animals.

The all over numbers makes me think it is over choked. I know we started with the 375 and as we got bigger the numbers have gone up. Now one more thing is how long the parallel is on it changes how much choke you can have also. I know 383 in the O/U at 33 yard put 203 with the 9s and the H&R put 206 with the 9s. Both was 26 inch. Now I dont know how much they drop off at the 40 yard mark. This guy just walked out put target walk back said we want shoot past this and shot. That why it a odd distance.

I picked up this same gun Easter weekend and was wondering what the thread pattern is on the chokes?
Mine shoots really close to the same POA/POI at 40 with both brls. Left and right was perfect on the left brl and maybe 1.5-2" to the right with the right brl. However they both shoot low. TSS 9's, 13/16oz, FF choke 132 in the 10" at 40 and Mod choke was 107 in the 10" at 40 yrds. Killed one bird with it at 10 yards.

How does this gun kick for a very small child? I looked at one of these at Academy and the price is only $129. Wondering if one of these would be a better choice than the Yildiz .410 O/U youth. This gun is about a 1/4 of the price, so if the boy can tote it in a couple years, I think this would be great.

You let the child shoot 2.5" loads to familiarize him with the gun. In the turkey woods, the big load. He won't know the difference.
It's a light gun and a heavy load. You can't avoid physics, but it won't hurt him. You can always put a Limbsaver pad on it if you think it's too much.
