Alright GN I'm thinking about trying a 20ga after a few seasons of TSS 12ga. Probably gonna go with an 870.
I see a lot of y'all are shooting 870 compact versus full size. Any reason besides the shorter 21" barrel?
Is the shorter stock an issue or are you changing stocks?
I'm 6'2" and thinking a full size is the better option.
Which do you prefer and why?
870 20ga compact or full size?

The 21" barrel is why, I replaced the stock on mine anyways.
I actually bought the Compact Jr which has a 18-3/4" barrel but I couldn't get the results I wanted out of that particular barrel. So, my wife and I swapped barrels, and her 21" wasn't great either. I ended up doing the Remington rebate a few months ago and bought a new one at Academy for like $240 after rebate, that barrel shot the best so I took her 21" barrel and slapped in on that gun I had just bought and sold it.
I know some guys here have 18-3/4" barrels that shoot good, mine just didn't. I'm not convinced the length was the major problem, it's just that sometimes you get a good barrel and sometimes you don't.
