Had a fun morning Thurs. Working pheasant with a pointing dog. Flushed four, four shots, four pheasant. Beretta 687 SP3 28ga O/U, Cyl/IC chokes. Only used the Cyl bb. 3/4oz #9TSS. (Used Hal's load data) Shots were in the 15 to 22 yard range. The cyl choke barrel was throwing a 88% pattern in a 20" circle at 20 yards. Patterning earlier showed 244 pellets out of 275 in that 20" circle. Distribution on paper was 134 pellets in the 10" circle and 110 pellets in the 10" to 20" ring. 24 pellets outside the 20" circle. I have measured the constriction on the Beretta Cyl choke. It has .013" constriction. Definitely NOT cylinder. The Impoved Cylinder Briley choke measures .019". Hmmmmm........
