New weapon for this season
New weapon for this season
Found this gun last summer at a good price and in a moment of weakness I bought it.
Benelli M2 came with a 24" barrel, but I swapped it for a 21". It is drilled and tapped, but the holes didn't match up for 336 mount for the FF3. I decided to try the speedbead mount to avoid drilling more holes. Added a .665 indian creek choke. Have only shot it once with 21" barrel and it did 300 in the 10" and 283 in the 20" with Hal's 2 3/4" 2 oz 8.5x9's load. I like it as much as one can like a gun that hasn't even been hunting yet. lol

Looks good man....how does that speedbead feel? I got one for me sbe2. Havent put it on yet but not sure im going to like it being so far back.
Re: New weapon for this season
I like it a lot so far. If battery goes out I could use the bead, and it seems to open up my view a bit, being closer to my eye. I am worried about it holding zero, I read up on them a lot before I bought it. Majority of what I read says it holds zero fine, there were some that said it didn't. It does seem rock solid though. Hopefully I will have good stuff to report on it after the season.aristico wrote:Looks good man....how does that speedbead feel? I got one for me sbe2. Very nice!
Just don't let that plastic cover hit you in the eye.

I don't think it will, but if it does it will only happen once.01Foreman400 wrote:Very nice!

Re: New weapon for this season
You can borrow it anytime Hal, lol. Short barreled and camo just like you like.hawglips wrote:That's very nice!
Re: New weapon for this season
I don't mind camo as long as it's on someone else's gun! And I could get used to a short barrel that throws patterns like that!el diablo wrote:You can borrow it anytime Hal, lol. Short barreled and camo just like you like.hawglips wrote:That's very nice!

Great looking rig and smokin' pattern. Has much does it weigh?
Re: New weapon for this season
Thanks Spur. I haven't weighed it yet, but guesstimating right at 7lbs. It "feels" 20lbs lighter than my Browning Gold. lolSpuriosity wrote:Great looking rig and smokin' pattern. Has much does it weigh?

Awesome looking gun. I have the speedbead on my Stoeger M3500 and love it as well. I have truglo adjustable sights on the rib as well. I have the speedbead spaced high enough that the truglo sights are only lines up if I get way down on it, and they aren't in the way of the speedbead in my normal shots.
