Remington 870SM Kicks GT .655

Post by joshua »

Win ER 3.5" 2 #6 10" @ 40yds. The 1187 has broke again so I put one of my chokes in the 870. Gonna run with the 20 this year but you always need a backup.

Outstanding pattern with the Winnies. I would shoot that all day long. Too bad they quit making them.

Thats after polishing the crap out of that barrel. These were shot at around 55 degrees also. My 1187 with 26" pipe will throw the same pattern. I took the 1187 out one day last summer with the temp around 95 and shot a 236 and a 242 with my last 2 shells from last year. Sure didn't know they were gonna stop making them. I've got 2 and 1/2 boxes left so that should last me a while. I've got 2 boxes of the 3" also but neither gun throws near the pattern with them.

What trouble are you having with the 11-87 bro?

The extractor came out again for the 3rd time. I bought the gun new in 06. I believe the hole where the plunger and spring go are wore out and I need a new bolt assembly. Brand new parts went in it the last time and has been working fine ever since until my shooting session last week. First shot of the day and it went into orbit. My 870 loves the Win. ER but hates the Hevi 6s. It's all I can do to chamber the gun after firing a Hevi thru it.

That pattern has DEAD GOBBLER written all over it ! Good luck with it. I would call Remington & tell them your problem with the 1187. They are usually pretty good about repairing it.
