LEAD

Post by JWright »

Just curious, does anyone still shoot lead? I understand tss is far superior. Not here to argue. Post some patterns if you got them

I shot it up until 3 seasons ago. I could go right back if availabilty changed with TSS. It worked for years, no reason it wouldn't still work.

Its all I have ever shot. I call turkeys in for kids that kill 'em with 1 1/8 oz loads of #5's. Almost no recoil. I shoot Winny LB's 1 3/4 oz of #6's. To me the object of the game is to call 'em in close. You can kill 'em with any shotgun if they are close. I have kill several with an old smoke pole smoothbore my dad gave me when I was a kid. Don't know where he got them but they are between .410 and 28ga. He made one for my brother and myself. That shotgun weighs about 3 lbs. Wont be long now; gobblers are roaming.

God Bless, Louis

30 yard test.jpg

30 yards. Longbeard XR 3.5" #5s. I just starting to think about maybe loading some TSS.
Thank you Lord for creating these wonderful birds and allowing us to chase after them.
