Remington SP-10

Post by Ericae2434 »

Any of you guys know what camo sp-10 is worth? There is one coming up on a online auction that a local auction company has having. Not sure why I would a need one but it seems to be calling my name.

I bought two of them off a guy a couple years ago for 850.00 apiece.

I gave 850.00 new for mine back in 95, it was bottomland camo, sold it 15 years ago for 800.00. Sure don't miss that 10 pound boat anchor....

Thanks for all your input. I didn't realize those sp10s came with such a hefty price tag. The auction is on April 15th so I'll watch it, but it might go out of my price range.

My suggestion, forget about the SP-10, get yourself a good light 20 ga, spend the rest on TSS. I think you will be happier in the long run, but that's JMHO.

An original Ithaca Mag 10 is on my gun wish list. But a 20 gauge turkey gun is too. So many guns, so little money.
Thank you Lord for creating these wonderful birds and allowing us to chase after them.

I just checked Gunbroker and I only see 1 gun listed at $1299 right now. Usually there are 6 or more listed. If they get to $1500 I will let mine go for sure!

I sold a 23 inch Bottom Land camo one for $850 5 or 6 years ago. You'd have to give me $850 to take it back. Those heavy, hard kicking monsters definitely aren't worth the pain for the performance they deliver.

I'd take my SP10 any day over my SBE II

Bought my SP10 Bottomland Camo in 2/94 for just under $900 and don't know how many cases of shells have been through it.
I'd shoot a box of 10 ga shells a day early goose hunting and feel a lot better than a box of 12 ga shells through the SBE II ;) Don't know how I survived all of those "8 shells shot" volleys on the Conservation Snow Goose Hunts in Missouri :banghead:

I won't part with it
ever wonder where the white goes when the snow melts??

I prefer the Browning platform but I like the sp10 as well. It handles nicely. I have just always been a Browning guy but Remington is a close 2nd. I love all my 10 gauges in general though, all makes and models.

I bought a bottomland one in @ 1995 give $900 for it and it would not shoot lead shot , kill a woodduck at 90 yds with #2 steel , but just would not pattern lead . back then we weren't to savy on aftermarket chokes . about all we knew about was Colonial tubes and hardly anyone built 10 ga chokes then . it was horrible wouldn't kill a turkey at 30 yds , shot poa though . struggled to get 2 + oz loads to do 90 - 100 in the 10 at 30 yds . Bought a 12 ga 3 inch gun and changed up to Charlie Boswell 's newly acquired Kicks chokes and killed a large pile of gobblers since ......The SP 10 is one of only 2 guns I ever sold ! And I got $950 trade value for it 4 yrs after I bought it ! And never looked back .
