10 ga 2.5oz
Hoping to give this another test run on a fall gobbler
Re: 10 ga 2.5oz
I would aim for the gobbler's eye to insure that the bird is edible after the shot!!!!

Re: 10 ga 2.5oz
I was wondering as my SP10 has a IC 690
I may need a more open choke.
Barrel is 21" on mine.. so maybe the 690 may do good. Cant wait to find out

Re: 10 ga 2.5oz
A heavy 10ga doesn't bite near as bad as a light weight 12ga. I went from shooting a 410 (in my early years) to a win 1300 nwtf that weighed 6.75 lbs at age 9. That gun beat me up bloody nose bruised shoulder. At age 18 I went straight to that heavy bps 10. First time I was pulling the trigger I was thinking to myself "this is going to hurt" after the trigger pull I was this is not all that bad. I has a friend that had a 870 super mag and he let me shoot it I handed it back to him and said that thing kicks like a mule compared to my 10. With the way some of the 1 5/8oz tss 20ga loads kick out of a light gun they feel more like you shot a 12ga.

Shot my cousins 835 with a Winchester xx 2 1/4 oz turkey load. Thought I died and went to the bad place it hurt so bad.
I did shoot a couple Nitro 10ga turkey loads that were a little sketchy. But didn't come close to the recoil from the Nitro load I shot through my Benelli SBE
