First 12ga TSS Rem 870 IC .665 3" 2oz 8's
Choke constriction is .665 (I wrote it incorrectly on the pattern paper).
Lasered 40 yards. 3", 2oz, #8's, 40 degrees, no wind.
I'm pretty happy with it. I probably could've shifted my circles an inch or so to the right and picked up a few numbers, but I decided it was close enough and used the POA as the reference point. I'm sure 9's would look even better. Too tight? Just right? Back the buffer off and see what it does? I'll hunt with this, but the tinkering never ends..
I didn't count the pellets that went into the load but according to the chart, 2oz of #8's should be a total of 508. If that's accurate, then I "lost" 18 pellets. Is that normal? I think I'll count 2oz and see what I get.

That's awesome for 8s. 93% inside the 20. I wouldnt touch it.

I used the GAEP #4 finishing die from start to finish on this one. I think it turned out ok. No complaints.

For 40 degrees or any temp really, that's a great pattern. Quit tinkering.

The number of pellets per ounce can be off for many reasons, most likely the density is higher than expected. Also, they could be slightly oversized. It's nothing to sweat, but very few batches come out exact.

Great job, and nice finished product. I am about to try this load. Are you trimming your hulls before you crimp or using felt?

Neither. I added a little buffer at the end to bring it up where it needed to be. I did buy some 1/8" felt though to try. That seems easier.

Only thing you need to do now is put a handful in your vest.
Very purty crimp.
