everytime i log in i see 3 or 4 different bots on here.
can you delete those trolls?

What is a ''Bot''? I see them all the time, but I have no clue what they are..

Those bots are search engines (Google, Yahoo, etc.) indexing GobblerNation.com.

Kinda funny...if you search Google using this topic's name, Gobbler Nation gets the top spot http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&sour ... =&aql=&oq=

It wouldn't be a good thing for the site to eliminate them, but I agree that they shouldn'd be listed in "Who's Online". I think there's a mod that will remove, or hide them and will look into it.

Good thing to have for getting the page out there and open to the public. I had no idea!!
Here is what i found out about it.

What is Googlebot?
Googlebot is Google's web crawling bot (sometimes also called a "spider"). Crawling is the process by which Googlebot discovers new and updated pages to be added to the Google index.

We use a huge set of computers to fetch (or "crawl") billions of pages on the web. Googlebot uses an algorithmic process: computer programs determine which sites to crawl, how often, and how many pages to fetch from each site.

Googlebot's crawl process begins with a list of webpage URLs, generated from previous crawl processes and augmented with Sitemap data provided by webmasters. As Googlebot visits each of these websites it detects links (SRC and HREF) on each page and adds them to its list of pages to crawl. New sites, changes to existing sites, and dead links are noted and used to update the Google index.

I googled it myself, after posting here. I have been enlightened..

I thought a bot was something you scratched, just your own though.
