Fair enough. I just sent them a request for the sample.

Re: Paracord Dog Collar
Barry, I think that the biggest secret to making the collars/bracelets/slings is the wooden support rig that you show there. It keeps everything tight and gives you plenty of room to work around the project. Nice tight weave and the two finest colors that have ever been put together in the history o...

Re: Gun Oil: My Pick and Reasons Why
That is why I love the internet and the openness of the members on here. Great information. But. Your links and testing data seem to present a very good case for this oil for equipment being subjected to high speed, heavy frictional loads in a fairly wide temperature range. Please correct me if I'm ...

Re: Yes Va we are among the few
They have allowed Sunday hunting in MS since I have been hunting. Years ago they did not allow dove hunting because this was the bird that brought the olive branch back to the ark after Noah's flood. Probably not true, but that is what I have been told. I have been told worse and was expected to bel...

Re: Which Reflex sight?
I have a Mueller QuickShot on an 870 20 gauge. They have great reliability records at half the price of Burris Fastfires. If money is no objective, you can spend a lot more and get really fine sighting devices. Nothing wrong with the Burris, Trijicon etc., but if you use those sights to set the qual...

Barry,
Nice looking piece. Did you use an extisting pattern for this, or did you let form follow function and just make it as it needed to be?

Re: Box turtle slate call
I wonder what effect an internal sounding board would have on the sound quality, if any? Have you tried making one using a slider turtle shell? It has a lower profile than a softball-shaped box turtle shell and it would fit better in the pockets of my vest. I may have to switch into R&D mode her...

Re: A turkeys hearing?
I believe that a turkey's hearing is able to pick out what they need to hear and ignore what they aren't tuned into. A tree cluck seems to get a response at 200 yards because they are tuned to that sound amidst the symphony of racket in the woods. When I first started hunting turkeys, I was not imme...

Re: Box turtle slate call
That design looks real good. Is that pattern pretty much the same as the one from Lamar? I have done terrapin shell calls like this, but trimmed the slate to fit all around the inside of the shell. The sound was not very good. It looks like my problem was not letting the slate find it's own resonanc...

Paracord shotgun sling
Hey guys, Here are a few photos of a sling that I recently made for my shotgun. I used paracord in Multi-Cam camouflage pattern and braided it using a ladder rack braid that I attached to my existing Uncle Mike sling swivels which I had mounted to a 2x4 for support. Altogether it only took about 2 h...

Re: Board at the beach....
Nice project and good job. I made one about 2 weeks ago. I found that the paracord itself is a little slippery and the sling/gun kept wanting to slide off of my shoulder. You can easily remedy this small problem two different ways. You can sew a button onto the top of the shoulder of your hunting sh...
