Re: Meeting Friday in Plant City on more public access.
Good work, Doug! It will be interesting to see how that all plays out,...keep us informed. Out here in the west, we have have had a many-decades-long war going on between public sportsmen and a whole spectrum of entities that want to lock up public lands. Several of us that are involved with sportsm...

Re: Got Any Gobblers Mounted ?
Raaahhhaaahhaahhhaaah, Ronnie! Now that is a great mount! I can see why you are so proud of him! I'm sure you are the envy of the turkey-hunting world with a bird like that! My next mount, I'm going to use these pictures as a guide. Incredible realism,....I am speechless!

Re: Who Here Does It?
GobbleNut, looks good to me, i've been doing taxi work since 1992, worked part time for a big shop from 92 - 96, did mostly prep work, he could do a flying or standing turkey pretty good, but really sucked at a strutting bird, i think i do a fair, not great strutter, don't do much as i have a full ...

Re: Making Mouth calls
Yes, I make mouth calls. I have actually developed a simple system for making them that requires no presses or jigs of any type. I really don't want this to sound like a sales pitch here,....just wanting to provide information to those that might be looking at making calls, but I can provide all of ...

Re: Perseverance
Good tale, Jay. That's one of the main points I make to the new guys,....you can't get discouraged and give up! If you persevere, you will eventually succeed. May take a while, but if you learn the basics of turkey hunting and calling,...and then stick with it,...you will eventually kill a gobbler,....

Who Here Does It?
How many or you GN members do taxidermy work? ....I got into hobby taxidermy about 12-15 years ago. Started out with turkeys because nobody in this area could mount one worth a hoot,...so I decided to try it myself. Have since added big game shoulder mounts to the list,...but turkeys are my real pas...

Gee, Thanks!!
Yep,....just what I need,....another turkey huntin' forum! First, I would like to express my gratitude to the "instigators", and second, my sincere appreciation to one or more other "Forum Rats" that divulged the existence of Gobbler Nation to me. I promise to get even with all ...
