Yes to all three, each generation has had and will have it's best turkey hunters. Turkey hunting has really evolved over the last 50-60 years. Early on, the best turkey hunters were roost shooters and it wasn't considered unethical at the time. It was considered a great feat to sneak up on a gobbler...

Tube for me as well. I have mine set up to use for gobbling and cutting so my yelping isn't what I'd like it to be. Might have to set up another tube for yelping and get busy practicing.

Do hens ever call with a broken rhythm compared to the definition above? Does every vocalization have a rhythm? Make sure your striker tips are clean so they will actually grab the calling surface. You can clean them with scotch-brite (the stuff on the back of a dish washing sponge) or some 220 grit sand paper.
