CZ Mallard Barrel Regulation
Finally hit the pattern board today to check the POI difference between my two CZ Mallard barrels. They are about 5.5" off at 30 yds. I'm assuming most of you wouldn't worry about, and would just hunt, I want both barrels to be dead on at 40 yds for a follow up shot, or a shot on a 2nd bird if ...

Re: Mossberg Fix
I actually like the trigger on my 500 20 gauge. The 500 12 gauge is okay, still better than most. Both of those guns are very old, I'm 31 and my dad has had the 12 gauge as long as I can remember, and we got the 20 gauge used 20 years ago.

Counts are for ideal sizes. Your shot will not be exactly #9 or #8. The difference is just 3.1%. Pretty close.

Re: TSS and choke tubes
I would bet the IC will shoot really well, but the core might be a little hot with not much in the 20. The PG might be a killer, as might the Trulock.
I haven't seen a Kicks shoot TSS that great yet, also I've seen others comment about its poor performance.

Re: 870 compact Jr. 18.5" patterns
I quit fooling with mine. Honing the barrel helped but I was never able to get good 20" numbers. The longer barrel shoots a shorter choke fine anyways. There is hardly much difference in overall length between a 21" with a Carlsons vs an 18-3/4" with a long IC.

Re: Sweeney's BBQ Sauce.
How do you keep it for long term storage? Does it need to be canned or can you just pour it in a jar and put a lid on it?
I wasn't sure it was for me until I ready way down the list, and saw the cup of cider vinegar, then I knew it looked like some good stuff.

FedEx isn't the only option. There's a Post Office in every town, and probably a UPS location nearby too.

Re: The NEW turkey hunters
The past 2 years or so- I am seeing alot more expensive blinds on the field edges as well as decoys that look really good! Some decoys are now over 100 dollars! I never hear any calling going on from the blinds. I think that alot of the newer hunters don't waste their time in becoming better caller...

Imperfection in 870 barrel
I'm having a time getting an 18-3/4 barrel to pattern great. After some help by JohnDoe it's better, but take a look at this picture. I took the pic before doing anything to the barrel, and the gun was bought brand new. There's a "ring" just past the forcing cone. My 21" 870 barrel do...

Keep posting about these and I'll have to buy one! Been wanting one since they announced them. I like mine. Popped its cherry on a nice gobbler last weekend. I don't like the bead.... I'm use to it because my Nova has the exact same bead. I would like to replace it with the smaller bead that comes ...

28 gauge 870 would be a fine choice... maybe even a 410 as well. No need for an expensive gun when an 870 will do the trick.

Re: Indian Creek .555 Rem WITHOUT wad catchers
Typically from what I have seen, the Indian Creek BDS .555 Remington has porting and wad catchers. Typically, one without wad catchers is a special run. I have called and asked for these before, but Mike and Stuart never seem to have any on hand. Must be one that slipped through the cracks. Would y...

Yeah I found it odd that some have it and some don't. I thought they all had them until today. Of course the website isn't helpful.

Indian Creek .555 Rem WITHOUT wad catchers
Does this normally come without wad catchers? I just picked one up at Bass Pro and it does not have them.
Every other package I opened for different models had the wad catchers.

RSF, .585 Trulock, or .575 Carlsons
If one of those doesn't work you got a lemon.

Re: 870 compact Jr. 18.5" patterns
I have, but I'm still working on it. Trying to find a .555 IC to try in mine as I didn't get great numbers with other chokes. Keep in touch and let me know what you try. My best shot was 230 with the Big20XL but the 20" only had like 180.
