Big giant 3 or 4 blade mechanical!
I bow hunted them exclusively for 10 years, shot guillotine style a little but mostly large cut mechanical.

What hunting that is allowed is listed by property, Their game department has that info and I believe it is listed on ONX as well.

My search for a 20ga or smaller bore ends at 6lbs, if it is not under that I would keep looking.

Numbers are down all over, hence the change of bag limits and draws.
I am betting there are still birds to be had.

Re: Turkey ammo trajectory?
Thanks Spuriosity, I figured there had to be some data somewhere like that.
A little surprised at the drop at 40 yards!
I hunt anywhere from a few hundred feet of elevation all the way to 10k, that difference would be interesting as well.

Re: Turkey ammo trajectory?
Of course, but if you look around most turkey load fall between 1050 and 1250, so not hard to get a baseline and the velocity difference could be calculated.
At turkey range most of it won't matter, but having a baseline and a zero yardage would be helpful.

Re: Turkey ammo trajectory?
I had never paid attention to it, was just curious. Not really interested in 60 yards but would be interesting if it were charted somewhere.
I saw some lead charts but the two were drastically different and TSS would be much different.

Turkey ammo trajectory?
Anyone have any charts for bird shot trajectory, I imagine it is negligible under 50 yards but curious if there are any specs for turkey loads? With a low mounted sight I would guess the average is the bore center is about 1 inch below line of sight, so sighting in at point blank say 7 or 8 yards ma...

Re: Hunter Evans aka Fowllmouth pattern testing
I was contemplating an ounce of 8.5 and 5/8 of 9.5 but not really sure I want to waste a bunch of shot playing around, I have zero issues with straight 9s.
Large shot on top of small shot I assume.

I have been using the RNG 200 for the past 4 or 5 seasons, great vest, I added a couple molle pouches from Amazon and it carries plenty!
Amazon has a couple rng clones for cheaper, might be worth a look?

Re: So many jakes
I see it often when there are loads of Jakes, especially when they run in packs of three or more, they will run toms off and jake decoys work terrible if you use a decoy. I find more toms sneaking in quiet and slow playing a bird more effective in those cases. Scouting more if possible can pay off a...

I don't see how it would be an issue, very little exposed blade so low surface area heads always fly well. I have not shot them but the regular spitfire flies extremely well.

A little time at the pattern board and you can get any gun with stocks spacers to fit properly.
