Re: McCallister Trumpet ready to travel!

Thanks, so much! Looking forward to using it in both PA and NY. Just getting started, after having to miss both a GA and VA seasons.

Re: GobblerNation Travel Call

I will sure give it a try. Have the month of May to hunt PA and NY. Hope to take a friend or two that haven't taken a gobbler. Let me know if it is still available.
Thanks

Re: #7 HW x #9 TSS Duplex ?

Thanks Gil. That is what I was looking for.
I have some HW15 and was looking for a way to conserve my TSS.
I assume you would put the larger shot in first?

Re: Remington 870 wingmaster 28 gauge

I have an older WM with a fixed Mod - VR. Think I paid too much for it... got caught up in an auction. Sure looks nice sitting in the safe.

A few years back, I bought the youth model Savage 555 and added a Trulock choke, with 9.5 TSS. Shoots really well and a dream to carry.

#7 HW x #9 TSS Duplex ?

I would like to know if anyone has tested a duplex load using #7 Heavyweight shot and #9 TSS? If so, results? I was thinking about it for a 12 gauge - 2 oz load.
Thanks

Re: Old School Greenleaf

There is something fishy going on. One or two new guys on GB with zero to one trades, bidding on a newly dipped gun to over $2K. Several of the ones for sell are coming from the same place ( notice how they are displayed ) and they are not ( in my opinion ) the original guns from the early 90's. Loo...

Very nice looking upgrades to that 870! It should work like a charm. Got my first 16 gauge bird with that gun, last spring.

410-28-20-16-12

Wanted to display hulls, spurs and beards from each ( 410-28-20-16-12 ) harvest. This is what I came up with. Need to do a better job with wire that holds spurs and beards.... this is my first pass at it.

Luke is a great guy and has done a lot for the "smokeless muzzle loader" community. He has several videos on You Tube that are worth the watch.

+1 for Arrowhead Sporting Goods and taking the youngsters ....

Re: Thirsty Turkeys

Turkeys do not have a swallowing mechanism. They dip their heads in and raise their neck, so gravity can take over. Birds like to peck at droplets of water that are higher than their head. It makes the water go down.

Re: Rib Mount Reflex sight mounts

So what are the pros / cons of mount placement? I have not used a FF III type sight, so interested to know if there are advantages to mounting closer ( on receiver ) vs out on the rib? I can see in the pic that this is an O/U, so there is no action. If mounting on a pump or semi, is there a preferen...

Sum Toy - 20 Ga Choke

Hey guys, just bought a 20 gauge and it came with what appears to be a Sum Toy choke. It measures .555 and has deeper cuts that run parallel to the tube. I assume this is a wad stripper?? Will this work with our TSS loads? Thanks
