Yeah, as long as it didn't fry it. I'll check it out this evening. Regardless, a small price to pay for what could have been much worse.

Reclaimed shot and food saver mishap

I was putting up a bird I killed this weekend. 9th bird I've put up since starting with TSS and first that I've found shot in breast. Followed wound channels with feathers just like with lead or hevi-shot, but now I can use it again, so that was cool. But then while finishing the night and putting t...

Re: GobblerNation Travel Call

My daughter was excited to see another youth hunter got a bird with this call after her. Who is up next? Message Tboo so he can get the call out to you.

Beautiful bird. You definitely lightened him him up by the looks of that beard! Looks like you've had an awesome season in TN.

Got the ugly off

Been a tough start to the season and finally got success after 11 days in the woods, 6 in Mississippi and 5 in Arkansas. Mainly just earned some experience in Mississippi, only half way worked one bird in all hunts. Started Arkansas off with plenty of scouting and knew where plenty of birds were on ...

Re: GobblerNation Travel Call

Travel call shipped to Tboo. Only bird killed was my daughter's jake, but it saw some close calls Monday and Tuesday. Carried and called over many miles in Arkansas and Mississippi. Called in 1 hen, 2 Jake's, and 2 long beards. I just could close the deal on longbeards for multiple reasons... https:...

Re: GobblerNation Travel Call

Finally got on the board with the Travel Call this morning. My daughter killed her first turkey this morning with a jake called in with this call and a Del Crow mouth call. We were attempting to work a log beard that had gobbled well for an hour and a half, but was being drug away by a couple hens. ...

Re: GobblerNation Travel Call

Got my butt kicked in Mississippi this week. They don't seem ready yet in the area I was hunting. Hopeing the forecast clears up before the weekend. My buddy got a 2 year old the first morning of our hunt, which was good.

Re: Thanks for nothing

I thought all my out of state hunting was going to get cancelled because of my military job. They changed the statement afterwards to only restrict official travel. If things continue to get crazier, I could get confined to the state....

Good luck to you. When I retire I'll be chasing turkeys in more places and hopefully there are still opportunities like that available.

Spring hunting in/around Fort Stewart Georgia

Looking to do a spring break hunting trip this year to the Fort Stewart/Columbus Georgia area. I'm an Army guy, so can access military installations for hunting. I've continued Fort Benning quite a bit, but Fort Stewart has more things my wife and kids would like to do while I'm out hunting. Anyone ...

Makes me even happier that bought the Yildiz. Thinking more about buying a Yildiz is .410 if I can find one.

Re: Any Day Now

Never had fawn so young that it still had spots. I've heard some folks early bow hunt in some states specifically trying to kill a fawn with most remain spots as a competition among friends. In Arkansas, our season starts the next to last weekend in September. No spots or velvet remaining then, but ...
