Young tender oats are hard to beat, almost as good as when they mature and seed out. Red heads and deer both love em.. You should sling some clovers into there before your next rain and have a really nice plot by next spring green up! I should do that He's right... Even if the clover doesn't amount...

Rarely an oat field around Gratiot either .. but they sure are a go to ;) 25 years ago theyd always cover crop new stands alfalfa with oats and than combine.... Now they just green chop the oats... 'AND" let the alfalfa grow, correct ;) Yes.... Crazy when we were grinding, look around for dang...

Looks great Brice, hard to be tender little oats doe early fall.... Yours should be about perfect... Outmod all the cereal grains before they freeze out oats are thought to beat... You ever plant Crimson Clover (annual) with them. BFO is one of the BOB seeds slots of people swear by... I've only use...

Wouldn't be sick if you got your 12th booster, masked up, stayed ten feet from people, didn't have friends and family over, didn't go out past 10pm, made sure everyone went the same way when shopping at the super market... This is two weeks progress I'm happy for a nice rain .6 day after first pic than we got .8 on Wednesday...

Went today and put a little more seed down to supplement what the deer, birds, turkeys have eaten over the past few weeks. It finally rained a little and hopefully some more over the weekend. Time will tell! No rain sucks... It's the one thing you can't help unless you have water and a trash pump.
