On Mike Orlen's website he gives the od requirements for choke tubes. I'm sending an A5 20ga barrel to him in the near future.

I wish the callmakers spent more time here. I'm a call junkie!

You are good to go. It will not damage your choke or gun if loaded by the recipe

I heard that a 870 20 and 28 ga were built on the same frame and that barrels could be swapped out to change the gauge, this sounds a little fishy to me but I am not a gunsmith, just like to shoot :P .
