Re: Coronavirus aka Chinavirus
If you look for any conventional studies or even reliably gather data to crunch, you won' t find any. The whole thing is based on bull****. What the media pushes may sound official, but if you have any scientific training you should see through it. This is smart phone fueled mass hysteria with those...

Re: Thanks for nothing
The posts I read seem to have confused national park service sites closing and previous closings of federal lands with all federal lands closing.

Kung flu? No. People losing their wits? Maybe. Still waiting to hear about acts of violence against people with allergies.

Carbon ring
Using chamber adapters and short shells can over time leave a very hard ring of carbon in a chamber. The ring will prevent chambering longer shells and might cause increased pressure. Removing the ring is an extended process involving abrasives. I only post this because I have recommended such on fo...

Both sides participate in these things to energize their base and raise funds. Other than over-funding through ridiculous taxation, the huge amounts of time and energy they spend raising funds to get re-elected. Voting against incumbents regardless of party is the answer. Which sounds like a plan u...

Switched over to a rifle. Windage adjustment took a dump. Exchanged it. I like the sight. Just don't know what it is good for yet. I'll report back if it manages to get zeroed with full house turkey loads.

Ditch the tent and go find the birds. Be there before first light, listen, and move towards the gobbling. Then sit next to a tree and call a little. Good things may happen. I promise you that you will learn much more about turkey hunting if you get out of that blind. You will enjoy it more too. Wha...

Re: A controversial subject.
The crossbow is an ancient weapon, documented in China over 2,300 years ago. How do crossbows figure into this whole trad, compound discussion? I've always been under the impression that in ancient times the bow was the superior weapon if you learned to use it. Those old crossbows sure look like ju...

Re: Time for a new truck
Since this thread is about getting a new truck, my Tacoma has 222,000 miles on it. Year before last Toyota recalled it and replaced the frame some leaf springs brake line ect. Would it be profitable to hang on to it and replace motors and transmission when it finally dies? Or just bite the bullet a...

Using a compound is like sniping a turkey at 70 yards with a ten gauge full of TSS. You'll never guess what kinda bow I shoot...
Really, though, shooting a compound got boring quickly. That's why I switched to trad.

Also, I read Nissan is coming out with a new Frontier for 2020. Old style closeouts should be really cheap. I bought a brand new '14 F150 XLT loaded for $27K because everyone was buying the new redesigned '15 instead.

Re: Time for a new truck
One thing to consider is being able to get your truck plus trailer rig where you want to go. One of my favorite camping spots is limited on what you can get up there. And then is the small trailer something you'll actually want to stay in for extended periods? I was all about slide in campers until ...
