Re: Elk Outfitter
I completely understand that a DIY hunt is much cheaper and maybe even more rewarding. I don't have the time or resources to venture out across the country and jump into something or somewhere that I am totally unfamiliar with. Kudos to you guys/gals that do. It would cost quite a bit of money just...

Just picked up a Tom Teaser red aluminum pot with a black laminate striker. Tried the striker on the ThunderDome slate VaTurkey gave me. It’s a good striker

Ellie McGinnis
Nice young lady who is a turkey killer and loves to waterfowl hunt. She does her own art work and is starting to gain followers on instagram. My niece couldn’t make it to the show this year as she’s doing clinical for nursing and is graduating this spring. So when she follows Ellie and said for us t...

Re: Scope vs Red Dot????
if its wide open hunting and mostly fields I can understand a scope I feel 4x is too much optic and would rather have a 1-4x like the tomahwak Swampfox. I had the Leupold 2-7x33 with the circle and crosshairs. I actually liked it. but was on my Ithaca 20ga when it was stolen. never bought another on...

My cousin shot three in a row on the same hunt 15 years ago. Was pretty cool. He sold them to a local taxidermist
I would love to shoot one myself

Here's my 1959 16 ga. 28" modified barreled M12, Photo was on a January 2014 dove hunt with Abby retrieving and staying warm out of the wind. Something I didn't have sense to do. Ended up with a horrible cold. Gil https://www.jpgbox.com/jpg/59156_800x450.jpg glad it wasn't the corona! I wish s...

Re: Winchester model 12
They made it in a version called the “heavy duck” I believe that is what the old writer Charlie Waterman packed. It would be neat that would be the 3" version. I would love to get my hands on another 16ga and 20ga and turkey them into turkey killers that Winchester Longbeards version for pheas...

Re: EGW Red Dot Optics mounts
You’ll see turkey hunters march to the beat of a different drum
For no rhyme of reason we do odd things. Like cut down perfectly good barrels and have them rethreaded to lose a few ounces
