Re: Gator Hunt Success

Finally made it home. We ended up with a 9'7'' male with the end of his tail missing. I think he would have been right at 10' or a hair over if he would have had all of his tail. He weighed 222 lbs. I will post some pictures later.

Re: Staying in Shape for Bird Season

You are going to feel like you know what. I tried p90x but for some reason I cannot work out at home. I go do the gym several times a week. The day after I started p90x I couldnt hold the phone to my ear. Good luck.

I am down for the football. I would prefer all college but count me in either way. No cameras allowed on my club so I couldnt take part in that one but I would like to see the pics.

Re: Any waterfowlers in here?

Yeah it was a mottled duck that was banded. We had 5 or 6 more ducks in the other boat that was with us that morning that left before the picture was taken. I killed the eurasion the day before in the same spot.

Re: Catfishing

Cut eel in about 2 inch long pieces and use a 7/0 or 7/0 hook with about 4 feet of tough nylon string (I use the same string i use to rig duck decoys). On the other end tie a snap swivel. Find a low hanging branch (make sure the branch is green and not dead) and wrap the swivel end of the line aroun...

Re: had a lot of fun this morning

Thats a nice bird. Glad you were successful. My slump continues. I heard 8-9 on the roost but couldnt get a good postion (or decide which one to go to) so I set up between 3 of them at a place I normally hear them gobbling later in the morning. I sat there almost 2 hours calling every now and then w...
