Re: Mossberg SA-20 Tactical Turkey Feedback?

$12 Mcarbo spring is easy DIY and a good addition. Light, points great and kills em dead. No real downside here.

Re: BRRRRRRRRRRR !

We are at 32 here in E. Texas right now. High of about 35 today. That's full on winter for us.
We have a couple of mornings in the teens coming the next couple of days. Grocery stores are empty of bread and milk. :)

Yeh, we don't do cold very well. :)

We have a couple of mornings coming in the low teens. That’s pretty low for us. At least it doesn’t come with ice or snow.

I had the same issues with my 20G Franchi.... I trimmed about 1/8th of the shell and the issue was resolved.

For those shooting the True-Lock .585, are you using the flush or extended and if extended ported or not? Thanks so much.

Franchi 20 w/26 barrel

Anyone using this for ducks? If so what choke and shell are you using? I wasn't planning on loading shells this season for this gun, but I wasn't too happy with he results of the Heavy Metal 3" #4s out of the factory Mod or IC chokes. Heavy Shot 3" #6 did better....but I didn't want to sho...

Re: Hung up birds

Went after them again this morning. It was a much cooler morning and they didn't want to gobble to anything but the crows. I need more time in the mornings to work them before I go to work. I think I'll give them a break tomorrow and get after them all morning on Sat. Good luck to everyone.

Re: Hung up birds

yeah I usually don't see them until he walks away and crosses a road or a cut over.... They are usually in the brush/pines/hardwoods that I couldn't see past 30 yards or so and just wont come that last few yards. Trust me, if I see him in close he's dead.

Hung up birds

Need some advice on how to fool ol'tom(s). Im in a new club this year and all the birds get with their hens fairly quickly. I'm having a problem getting those toms that don't hen up right away committing to come that last little bit. I can get in the roost area and normally can get within 80 to 50 y...

First ever Rio

I had a great time in Kansas this week. Saw a beautiful rio strutting, spitting and drumming in the sunset at at 30 yards as he was coming up the hill trying to find a hen. He turned out to be a 20lb bird with 1 inch Spurs, and just over 8 inch beard. I couldn't be more happy with my first Rio that ...
