Re: Goulds mounts made it home

Dont guess I can say anything there...these to make 10. The only thing we are missing is an osceola for my wife. We never had one mounted for her and I beleive the well has ran dry on our hunting grounds

Re: 20 ga dove gun

I dont beleive I've tried the m2 for doves yet..cant remember, but dont beleive I have. I shot my little Charles daly once and couldn't hit crap. I typically shoot an m1 or a borrowed super sport, so maybe the transition to the m2 will be smooth and work out ok. I'm going to break my guns out soon a...

20 ga dove gun

I'm sure there are plenty that shoot a 20 for doves. I'm gonna give my little m2 a try for doves shortly and was curious to what choke most of you shoot? I've always shot a modified...in 12 and 20. I've just never been able to kill em with a 20 for some reason. Likely it's because I suck at shooting...

Goulds mounts made it home

Here are mine and my wife's goulds gobblers from 2017. We went with el halcon and had an absolute fantastic hunt. Mike at Blackwing taxidermy mounted them and his work is as good in real life (actually better) than the pics I've seen.

Mine is the stutter and my wife's is the upright

Re: What pot call do I need to buy right now

All depends on how much money you got burning....Clint Corder, Paul Platz, Pat Strawser all make some very fine pot calls. Hanks is another one. I have several Hanks calls now and love them all. There is a long list of great pot makers out there that all make very, very nice calls Another lesser kno...

I just got back from El Halcon and had a great time but I want to go with someone who has more experience with the Ocellated.
Explain a little more, was it a good hunt? Did you get on birds?

Re: Any recommendations for outfitters for ocellated

Depends on how you want to hunt? Jungle or farm fields?

When we go, were going with el halcon..Manuel. we went with him of our guilds and he took excellent care of us and is now hunting the oscellated. He is expanding grounds rapidly and building a lodge that I'm sure will be very nice.

Re: Spur length and Turkey age

I will agree that its the most accurate way to age a gobbler, but it's still tough with this. I had one gobbler on camera that I could easily identify from at least 3 years back. I'm thinking this gobbler was 5+ and only had 1 1/4 spurs (didnt officially measure them). I could tell in the pics that ...

Re: If you had to choose one 410

Weight is not a major concern, functionality is. I'm a little scared of the yildiz , but do have a buddy thag is supposed to be getting some ordered and I will get one if he gets them. Ok can't believe how high these little guns are! I really want an 870, but the price is high. I may end up selling ...

If you had to choose one 410

I'm looking to get a 410 and do the works on it. What would you pick? I'm a little hesitant on the single shot yildiz now with the trigger/closure issues. The o/u are intriguing, but curious how they may do with a ff3 on top. My other interest in an 870. I want something durable and something that c...

Supposed to be, we had a guide run a few early hunts while we were in Florida, but gave our lodge up to those fighting the wildfires. I'm bummed, but that's more important
Ok, was gonna give you a shout and maybe we could meet up out there.

There have been 2 killed in Ga so far this year and the general consensus on them is that they were Royal Palm domesticated. Guess they got with wild birds and joined in with them
