Well, i'm new to the 28 ga, and i keep comparing it to my 20 ga... especially since it's only 1/8oz less of a load, i feel like it should be much better.... i was hoping for around 300 in 10"@40. At least 270-280... Is that unrealistic?

I am building a new turkey gun for myself and was wondering about choke options. I have an 870 28 gauge with a 25" bbl with rem threads. I have a regular full choke and am getting around 240 in 10" @40 with 1 1/2oz TSS 9's. Would like to do a little better but it seems my choke options are...

I finally killed one. Turned out to be a decent 3 yr old bird. Had a 10" beard, 1 1/8" spurs, and weighed 19.6lbs. Pics coming later...

I shoot a 26"bbl 870 20 ga with 1 5/8oz load of TSS 9's. Has worked great the last couple of years and can kill one waaaayyy further than you are supposed to. Lol.
