It's hot in March. The decline is due to Habitat loss, I doubt it will help.

Re: Got to ask...
I used and abused one for years, till it quit ejecting Hevi 13's and Nitro's. I replaced it with a 935. The 835 does kick, but all light 3.5 inch guns do when jamming 2.25 ounces of shot out of a tight choke. Yes, it does rattle, but it functions very well filthy dirty. All in all they seem to be a ...

Re: Triple Beard - A new turkey load for all of us.
They might as well give it up, environmetal screwed up when they changed their loads to increase profit. Winchester is years ahead in the lead shell game, and no one is catching up. The rest of the lead companies may as well give up the ghost. I think your right, but I do think they will sell a few...

Re: 53 newbie kills
Is that 75% rate for that person getting the bird or is he putting 7.5 birds on the ground in ten days? 75% of his hunts with a newbie putting a bird on the ground Then I would guess it would be possible, given he could spend a few days with each person. Hats off to him for indroducing that may fol...

Re: 53 newbie kills
It would be all relevant to the area he is hunting. In Texas or Kansas on good ground a 75% success rate is vey obtainable in my opinion. In SW MS, Southern alabama, or any where in Louisiana, I'd say nope. Why not in them 3 states? I always thought was a lot of turkeys there? Granted don't mean th...

I'd leave the sight intact and forget about the scope, but I'm not a scope guy. It's probably soldered on, maybe try a little heat and see if it comes off.

I've got a 70 quart Engel that I bought 2nd hand but never used and I can tell a vast difference in the ice keeping abilities of it compared to an older igloo marine ice chest. I also have a fridge ridge that does very good. Now would I pay full price for a new one? Nope.

Re: Oh boy they are tough in SC
It was a rough one for me in Mississippi. I didn't even get to tangle with one and we hunt pretty good ground for this part of the world. Friday and Saturday afternoons I deer hunted them and never saw a bird. It's all good just means that there's that many more left for the rest of the season. I th...

Killed a few birds with the 5 & 6's. a factory turkey choke and the 5's were my load of choice till I was enlightened to Hevi shot. I might set up my old mossy for lead 5's or 6's again. I never felt at a disadvantage at all when using them. The Winchester HV 5's have killed one or two for me as...

Re: Weatherby SA08 20 gauge. 28 inch barrel
Set it up right and you can. I might play with it a little more, but I'm happy with what she does. I get 140 - 150 with a SSX an Hevi 7's. My 835 & 935 bother me that I can't hit 300. I've tried tons of chokes and polished the tube on the 835, but my best was in the 270's. My bps 10 turns 330 +...
