Re: Bluegrass giant
Over on AT they have some pretty compelling information stating this buck came off a game farm. Including a pic of the same guy holding the rack at a high fenced game farm.

I think your supposta remove the skin so the meat can absorb the smoke and spices. I keep my skins and make chicharrons latter.

Re: O/U Point of Convergence
Sorry for the double post. It told me my first attempt violated something, so I tried again, then found that it actually posted the first attempt. Then it told me I didn't have the authority to delete the second. Maybe a moderator can remove it? I greatly appreciate the explanation. The gun is new ...

Re: O/U Point of Convergence
Spuriosity explained very well how to deal with the issue on an 0/u gun, and using 2 different loads can also solve the issue on SxS guns if the POA difference isn't too bad. I have only worked with SxS guns, and all of mine have required me to resort to a file to get both barrels to shoot to the s...

Re: question for turkey hunters
Once you start eating the dark meat you feel like an idiot for not using it all those years. I'ts my favorite part now. Put it in a crock pot for 9 hours then hand pull it. Make whatever you want then, enchiladas, turkey hash, tacos etc. When I shoot a turkey i start thinking about what I'm going to...

Re: Keeping up with COVID
Some death rate has to be acceptable. Otherwise we wouldn't allow vehicles, alcohol or any number of things that make modern life what it is. Shooting guns would be way too dangerous and even something as simple as swimming would need to be outlawed as people have been know to drown doing that. Whil...

Re: Soft tanning exotic deer skin
Typically you have to flesh it out completely then dry it out with salt to get it ready to ship unless your going to try and ship it frozen which would just about have to be an overnight delivery-very expensive for something that big if you could even find a carrier willing to ship it raw. You could...

Re: Ol red down
There's a shoulder mount I have. While the taxidermy work isn't very remarkable I'm showing it cuz you really just see a lot of the chest and face so even though mine is a normal gray color; on yours it possible that you wont see much of the red color becuz its mostly on the back and sides-areas tha...

Re: Tree saddle
I used an original Trophy Line tree saddle for a whole season. I liked the idea but absolutely could not get comfortable in it. I would be moving around the whole time. I would sit still as long as I possibly could and look at my watch and it would only have been maybe 5 minutes. Anyways people clai...

Re: Day 21 of the 2019 Ohio Squirrel Season
It looks like a "Hen of the woods" variety of shrooms or maybe just by the color a Chanterelle-both are very good eating. Google how to identify those two and see if that's them or better yet buy a book on e bay or amazon on identifying edible mushrooms wherever you live. I'ts worth learni...
