Re: Is the 20 ga 3” round obsolete for turkey hunting?

With some of the 2 3/4 loads being developed now, there looks to be no need in 3" shell anymore. Seems like that might depend on what someone’s “need” is. :dontknow: I guess I look at it as, it will preform better than any 3” that exists, and functions in more guns than a 3” load will. You bout rea...

It's that tiny feller in the middle of the pic we need to watch for!!!! He's already killed a 1 5/8s spurred Gobbler! That's bigger than anything I've ever got. I'm sure that tall fella behind me had a little to do with it though. Striker is gonna be "The King of the Turkey Slayers" in the...

Surprise, surprise, surprise,... Just found out I can run again, fairly fast and decent too. I was bubbling over, cause I was a runner my whole life.

Then I woke up, and realized it was a dream!!! CRAP!!!

Re: 20 gauge TSS load for youth

I have 3 youth loads, 3/4oz, 1 1/4oz, and 1 3/8oz. The last two are very simple. The 3/4oz is a little involved.

Re: Nickel plated lead

I did quite a bit of testing with a huge batch from BP when they put it on sale many years ago. I must have gotten some of the hard stuff.
It shot considerably tighter and more uniform than any of the lead, and CP lead that I had.

Yep, my wife has one. Black on black. Uses the Rem choke. She killed a biggun last season farther than I'd like to remember with it, using the 1 3/8oz load. Thing is a dream to carry. Must not weigh but 5 lb.

Hey Tommy, what type bullet, and what grain are you shooting? I was shootin the 250 this day. It was a Rem model 7 Predator. I usually shoot Nosler BTs, but this particular rifle seems to like Hornady Zombie Max 50s better. 37 grns of Hodgdon Benchmark pushes it @3875, and quarter inch groups. The ...

Yep Ray, been after em a little bit myself. Bucks this year at the farm are small and not that many. Yote shows up, it's game on. Been taking my two fresh varmint rifles. Both with low light capabilities. 22-250, and 220 Swift. Nothing wrong with a 204, but if you want the ultimate in varmint shooti...

Re: Browning 10ga Gold.

I went on a roll of 26"s there for awhile. First the Big 10, then a cheap azz Verona, Stoeger 2000, Beretta extrema 3.5, then Lily's M1 20ga.
All 26s. Come to think of it, I also went on a rifle kick of 26s. 260, 264 mag, 26 Nos, and 6.5x 284
