Re: Smoker recommendations

I'm gonna take heat , if you plan on going an doing more then fish or jerky, wanna do butts, briskets, ribs lean away from electric. I've watched a million hours of bbq shows never seen them using electric, work great as a faux cambro however Seriously not fan of electric ICDED, not from anyone who...

Re: Bocephus 90/93

Heck yeah, 90/93 is how I roll too! After looking at your other post, that appears to be the 409 12 ga pattern..lol If that other had been shot at 40 it would be a little higher in pellet count. For a 20 this 1 5/8 load is pretty wicked No doubt the 90/93 is a tough load. I'm getting 325/185ish @ 4...

Turkey Totes for Heroes

My cousin hosts an annual Hunts for Heroes turkey hunt at his place. I have a TON of respect and appreciation for our military so I decided to tie these up and send them as an extremely small way of saying thank you. I hope they enjoy them and put them to good use! Also, a huge thank you to all the ...

Re: A5 20

I have two Belgium A5 Light 20's and wouldn't dream of running TSS through them. Bad thing is, TSS would be most effective of any available load with your IMP CYL barrel. Like jryser said, I'd look for a Miroku barrel with either a fixed full of possibly screw in chokes if I just had to turkey hunt ...

I talked to Burris today and they said they are making a speed bead mount for a 870 20 guage. He said it should be out in a couple of weeks.

Re: Mounting a FF3

Yes, FF2's are still available. You can find em on Ebay for around $165 or so. Unfortunately the SpeedBead mount won't fit the 870 20 ga. I have one on my 870 SM 12 and really like it. I had my 20 ga 870 drilled and tapped for a Burris FF Marlin 336 (410333) mount.

Re: Mounting a FF3

What size dot does everyone use. 3 or 8. Thinking about getting one for my 870 20 guage. I have the FF2 on my 870 20ga. It's a 4 moa and has a lot less that can tear up than the FF3. Been running FF2's since 2010 without issue. Also, swapping batteries isn't near as big of deal on the FF2 as it's m...

Re: Rem 870 20ga Base?

EGW and Sumtoy and or a Marlin 336 base for a red dot Probably best to buy the base and the. Have it drilled tapped ^^^ Yes and yes ^^^ Any of those will suit you fine but if you're looking for the lowest profile I'd go with the Burris FF mount for the Marlin 336 (model 410333). I'll be swapping fr...

I boiled and scraped mine initially, then soaked in regular, brown bottle hydrogen peroxide for a day or two. I was very pleased with how they turned out considering these were the first 2 I'd ever made.
