Re: Question for TSS shooters/hunters
25 (20 gauge) and 35 (28 gauge) for me. Missed one at 45 with the 28 gauge that I misjudged for 40. Think that one was more my fault than anything. I rolled one at 62 a few years back. Really didn't mean to shoot him at that far, I thought he was 50 which was well within the abilities of my gun but ...

I've been making venison dirty rice for a few years now and it has become a favorite in my house. I just made a batch of smothered down venison and sausage with rice yesterday. C'est Bon!

I'm also waiting for when the synthetic furniture montefeltro hits the shelves locally to see what they're like and priced at. Dad has an ultralight 28 but I can't bring myself to camo dip one of them.

Re: Western Oklahoma
I am close to western OK. After some research I have not been over there yet. I don't mind tough hunting but I do like to have turkeys to hunt! They have a major problem with habitat and losing a lot of their cottonwoods! Hopefully they have had some of the moisture we have had in NM this winter! T...

Re: 20g choke for tss\steel
To the OP, do you reload? I like to load HW15 #7 and #6 for waterfowl in the 20 gauge. I shoot #7 for everything over decoys with no problems. I do load some #6 HW15 for when we're hunting lesser Canada's and have to utilize fencrows for cover. Around where I'm at they won't decoy within 30 yards of...

Keep an eye out for some of double tap's ammo. Been shooting their 200gr hard cast and 150gr controlled expansion at critters for a good while. The 150 is a solid whitetail round and the 200gr is my go to for big 150+lb hogs.

Re: Glock 20 - 10 mm
I can't find a G20, 29, or 40 in stock anywhere, so probably doesn't matter. Lots of 9s, but no ammo to speak of. 45s also, but was thinking a 10 if I go auto. I just can't stomach $1600 for one. I suppose GunBroker is an option. I did just do a little research on the XDM and watched some YouTube r...

I set up a PA-459 as well this year. Really liking it. Shooting Tommy's 90/93 load with a carlsons .575 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200510/917fbc7803951346e4386a8798524599.jpg Sent from my SM-A505U using Tapatalk Nice, like the camo job, and that Carlson’s .575 shot a some nice patterns too....

Re: A Few Baldy Pics
Had the pleasure if watching an eagle work on a crippled mallard at a local lake last week. Sat there for probobly 20 minutes watching the duck dive and the eagle hover over waiting for it to pop back up. Wish I had my wifes camera with me to get a few shots of it. Midland/Gibbs Backpack 20 gauge
Saw these at a local pawn shop for $130 and it looks like a great system. Mobil chokes so I already have a proven choke for it. Question is, would it be possible to have it drilled/tapped for a base I could mount my TRS25 on? Anyone have experience with these guns? 4.8 pounds and a 22" would be...

Hey Okie I’m pretty Sure that Shooter has a 260!Remington model 7 that’s a one holer at a 100 yards I'm sure dads AR in 260 has the potential to be a 1 hole gun, just need to play with it a bit. My M77, while only being a standard barell and not a bull, is a tack driver at 200. 5 shot groups inside...

Re: Long range shooting..
Shot some more this afternoon. Sloppy Snood had told me about a deal on the Browning Xbolt 26 Nosler for a steal. Son bought one as we were familiar with how the 26N shoots from a buddy in Ky. Son sighted in at 100 and about 1.5” high and proceeded to wear the 330 yard gong out repeatedly How do yo...

900 yds with a Rem 700 action, 168 grn BTHP, some fancy scope and stock. There's a Spec Ops Sniper guy that shoots at a farm I hunt in N.Y. he was home from a deployment. It was amazing at the time difference between the shot and the gong hit sound. He was a real deal Soldier, my son was 10 years o...

Ran my trs 25 this year for turkey and have ran probobly 20 rounds of slugs at pigs with it. Has held zero this far.
On a really bright day I found that I cant shoot it with sun glasses on or I cant see the dot. My only complaint at this point.

Re: Ruger MK4 Sighted In.
Is yours a MK4, Okie? Mine had a ton of creep. The mag disconnect has a bunch to do with that from what I understand. You get rid of that with the Volquartsen kit. That’s a major pain anyhow. Not needed, in my opinion. It was 5 1/2lbs and pretty horrible. They are great pistols. I've got 1 and dad ...
