Re: What is this world coming too!!!

Why can people stand on a corner with a god hates fags sign but not pray? Why is prayer not covered under a first amendment right? Most "fags" or gays whatever you want to call them are against prayer...Because the Bible clearly says it's wrong. It's now legal for a man to dress like a women and us...

Re: Thermacell fuel

I refilled a bunch for some reason the original plastic bottles wouldn't fill up completely only about a little over half way....but still way cheaper than the store bought. As far as the homemade pad refills I've seen guys using permethrin which is not safe permithrin is a poison that when dry is o...

Love the hunts .... but one suggestion could you not put the hero pic in the video link? Kinda takes away from the suspense when you know the outcome before you click on the video. Either way we will all be watching them anyway.

NEF pardnar shotgun

I have a NEF singleshot 12 gauge fixed modified choke. Anyone know of a gunsmith that could thread the barell for choke tubes, ideally without cutting any length from barell I'll probably shoot TSS #9s and would prefer a flush fit choke tube. Not sure if the NEF barrels are thick enough for choke in...

Re: Phones

I've had otter box case, life proof etc. they cost a lot and still leak sometimes. Ziploc sandwich bags U can buy the top of the line name brand for less than 5$ and you'll have a lifetime supply of phone cases lol. Water proof 100% dust proof etc. change them out as needed. All phone functions work...

Re: Convenient hearing protection while hunting

I hunt woods gobblers no fields so it's rare that I see them before the shot. But there's usually enough time to put in ear plugs. After I get the gobbler answering and moving my way I can get by with the plugs in. I can still hear gobbles and clucks, drumming sometimes if close. I've not lost a sho...

Re: Thoughts?

I haven't heard about the ban either... good for Michigan. Hopefully more/all states will outlaw it and the fanners will have to hunt the birds. Most will go back to video games or whatever they did before the fad lol. The rest will just sit next to a field and saw on the ol boxcall and enjoy the s...

Re: TX Rio rec.s please

For that price range you not gonna get a lot in Texas the turkey hunting prices have increased a lot in the last 10 years. 1500 for 3 days would be a decent price. Beware of the cheap hunts with small parcels of land that's been shot out.

Re: Russell Moccasin snake boots

I bought my Turtle skin leggings after last season wore them every day with leather boots....never saw a single snake in 4 states. I usually have at least a couple run ins with moccasins every year I killed two big ones in the exact same spot two years in a row both were trying to bite me when I loo...

Re: Russell Moccasin snake boots

I ordered a pair of the Turkey hunter Greenleaf camo boots in October last year. They finally showed up in May. I ordered the boots 10" height because I have a pair of the turtle skin knee high leggings that are very light weight and not nearly as hot as knee high leather. Well they sent the 18" vers...

Re: bead or scope

Bead only ....cannot stand scopes or pistol grip stocks on a shotgun. I do have a 870 SPS turkey that has a 23" rifle sighted barell that works well also. I prefer a even pattern at 35-40 yards max, out of 8 gobblers this spring the farthest was maybe 30 yards so super tight patterns or scopes not ...

Re: turkey seat butt hurt

The turkey seat delima.... weight vs comfort. I don't have much natural padding myself so I need at least a pad.I hunt public land and walk a lot so although the turkey chairs are comfortable there just too heavy for my hunting. I think we already have enough super shells and red dot scopes. Someone...

Re: Do you notch any of your calls?

I have the first boxcall I started hunting with, and called my first gobbler with. I put a notch in the lid for every gobbler I killed. I don't use the box much anymore so it hasn't added any new notches lately but it's been on every single hunt since the first years ago.

Re: 16ga Only Turkey Kills For 2018

Nice gobbler and gun. I have an old 870 16 in mint condition I'm planning to hunt with next season.
Are you shooting TSS and if so what kind of numbers are you getting with the X Full choke. I'm needing a choke tube install on my fixed mod barrel before I use it for turkeys.
