Re: Some terrible news
He's close to St. Louis and Barnes Jewish Hospital. It's a teaching hospital so they are always outfront on the leading edge of new cures and new medications, etc. If not there he can go the Cancer Treatment Centers of America; there is one in Chicago. What I hope he doesn't do is try to get treated...

Re: Some terrible news
Prayers for Stu, his family and all his close friends on the way Clark. I bought several chokes from Stu, and they let me go shoot the chokes until I found the constriction that worked. He and his son(s) are good people.

Re: rain gear
During warm weather I use Cabella's uninsulated MT050 Jacket & Bibs. If it's snowing or cold I use the insulated version of the Jacket & Bibs. It seems I get rained on more than not, and I dislike getting soaked. The MT050 keeps all but the most violent rain storms out. I can sit still as a ...

Re: 2015 Hoobilly & SloppySNood Waffle House KY trip
Great job Brice. I love the out of town hunts. Ready for Tenn this week. Please. No more Waffle House talk. Corporate is dragging their feet getting a tape of a waitress stealing my $800 . To the sherriffs dept. I could use that money to "sayyyyyyyyyyy" turkey hunt. May have to drop by co...

Re: Some terrible news
I'm sorry to hear about Stu Clark. I did some business with them when I was trying to find a choke for my SBE II. They let me go shoot the chokes before I bought one. They are good people and seemed to me to be more interested in promoting the shooting sports than in making a quick buck off of hunte...

Re: SBE2 OR???????
I had a SBE II for about 1 month. Stay away from 3.5" turkey shotshells. Even with the Comfor-tech stock those 3.5" turkey loads beat me to death. I traded it for a Remington SP-10. Best gun trade I ever made.

Re: Gobbler Lounger
Ive had one for 3 years now and so far it has held up without any problems (knock on wood). I would highly recommend it. The only problem I do have with it is after several days of hunting it starts to get a little too comfortable and the sand man comes. :D I've been using one for three years with ...

I've taken every recommendation The Slopster has put out there and bought it. He's never steered me wrong...ever. When he makes a recommendation, my next purchase is what he recommended. I've known The Slopster for 8 years now, and I know him to be an exacting, precision/perfection-driven scientist,...

USA Hunting Gear
I received 4 gun socks and 3 turkey lounger bags from Tom on Monday, and I can only think of one word to describe them: Quality. The attention to detail is outstanding, and they are made to take a beating and come out none the worse for the wear. Thank you Tom for producing such a superior product. ...

Re: Gobbler Lounger
I can't do much about the Gortex top, but Cabela's carries a seat cushion that is made for big guys; it's about 3" thick and man is it ever comfortable. You don't feel roots, medium-sized rocks...nothing but soft comfort. I bought one and used it for a season. It was more hassle than it was wor...

Re: Nikon Turkey pro scope.
I'm a strong believer in any type of optics. Choke and load combos shoot so tight now that it's easy to miss. Either red dots or scopes. I prefer a scope myself. I believe I'm gonna keep my 835 just the way she is, and not swap out my scope for a red dot. Amen Brother! I hand load Tungsten for my 1...

I have no doubt Tom will make some very nice gunsocks and turkey lounger sacks for me. He has some neat little things he adds for the ladies' gun socks. I ordered 4 gunsocks, 2 for me and 1 for my wife and 1 for my daughter. I also ordered 3 turkey lounger sacks.

Re: Lacrosse Razor HD Snake Boot
I don't know if my LaCrosse Snake Boots are the Razor HD snake boots; I bought them 3 years ago. I bought a pair of Rocky Snake Boots 4 years ago and much prefer the Rockys to the LaCrosse. The LaCrosse feel heavier and stiffer than the Rockys. The Rockys are a pleasure to wear; they're light, they ...

Re: Gobbler Lounger
Well, I have to man up and tell everyone Tom thought I wasn't being forthcoming as I bled information to him rather than tell him what he needed to know upfront. He felt like I was trying to beat him out of a couple of dollars even though he charges the same for each gunsock no matter what it takes ...

Re: Turkey Face Mask Questions
I don't wear glasses, but I use face paint anyway. If it's real 'buggy' out, especially mosquitos, I wear my Bug Tamer suit and still wear the face paint under it. With the face paint you don't have to worry about getting busted before you even get set up. It's on until you take it off.

Re: Gobbler Lounger
Well, after talking with Tom, at http://www.usahuntingear.com/, he decided that since he had to spend two hours on the computer designing my gunsocks this afternoon (I have some over-sized firearms) he determined that he had wasted enough of his time on me. He told me could make my gunsocks, but he ...

Aimpoint CompM4 with a mounting bracket that lines the 3X Aimpoint Magnifier perfectly behind the Aimpoint CompM4. The 3X Magnifier is mounted using a large thumb screw and can be mounted or removed in a few seconds. I might cough up the money for the Aimpoint mounting bracket that pivots the Magnif...

Re: Gobbler Lounger
The guy I hunt with is a minimalist; he brings just enough gun and gear to get by. But I can't argue with success; whenever he goes out he comes back with a Gobbler. I don't remember him ever being skunked. The one he shot last year looked like it swallowed a basket ball. It weighed in at 24 lbs, ha...
