Re: Looks like this guy has a really messed up rack.

The mounted rack one was a real surprise too. The skull was actually broken completely around the base of the antler.I removed the skin and the antler came off in my hand. You could see the brain inside through the hole . WOW.

Looks good red. I'll shoot you a vinegar based recipe. I hate thick sweet sauces.
I'm not a fan of thick sauces either. My Daughter was at a craft show and there was a guy selling BBQ with a vinegar sauce. Dang it was good.

Smoked Boston Butt.

Been smoking fish and jerky for a few years now. Recently branched out and tried wings and a whole chicken as well as a turkey breast. Today I smoked my first Boston butt. I think it came out pretty darn good. FB has a group called Masterbilt Electric Smokers. Great bunch of folks and tons of smokin...

Re: Extension Scope Rings.

Thats it ,thanks. Would prefer gloss finish. If I go with matte I need to buy both rings. $70 ouch. I might decide to just swap out the scope. Something with a longer tube .

Extension Scope Rings.

I have an M77 Ruger in .257 Roberts that I need a set of ext.rings for. I can't get the proper eye relief for the 6x Weaver scope I have on it. They need to be specific for the Ruger as the mount is an integral part of the receiver.

Re: Hatch

2016 we started to see a few birds. This year they seem to have exploded. Birds everywhere. The local grapevine says the DNR trapped a bunch of birds and shipped them to SW Mi. The following 2-3 yrs. were bad winters and wet springs. So our local population suffered. Birds were very scarce. So the DNR...

Re: Hatch

Fairview looks like it is trying to reclaim the title of wild turkey capital. Couple weeks ago i had a flock of 37 birds on the road in front of camp. Maybe 3-4 hens and the rest were poults. Birds seem to be everywhere. This small group is in the yard at deer camp.

Re: Food Plots

I hadn't planted buckwheat before. When I asked the fella at the feed store he recommended 50 lbs per acre. I didn't realize I had the seeder gate wide open and ended up putting 100 lbs on my wifes 1/2 acre plot.Man that stuff is thick.
