Drill and tap for sure. I would hate for the swivel to break loose and your DB to go crashing to the ground.

Re: Memorial Day.

Let us be clear...Memorial Day is to remember those who died in service of the USA. Veterans Day is for showing appreciation to all veterans. Too many folks overlap the 2. I, as a veteran, do not want to take up any of the glory that these men and women deserve on THEIR day. Here's to those that pa...

Memorial Day.

As we start the Memorial Day :old_glory: weekend please remember why and what we are celebrating. I had the privilege to shake the hands this week of a retired Navy man as well as an Air Force vet and an active duty Army man. The Sailor beamed with pride and said very matter of fact "Best country in...

Re: My Wife Killed Her First Turkey this Morning.

I've always figured the spurs tell the real story on age.A jake would be a year old.Or last years hatch. However,I will tell the missus she shot a gobble according to you guys. Oh yeah, the beard is 6 inches exactly.I didn't measure the spurs. Will take more photos and measurements and let you guys de...

My Wife Killed Her First Turkey this Morning.

I was beginning to think we would go home empty handed again. No gobbling. No sighting . Nothing. I was looking at a text my SIL sent me of a dandy Tom in his yard. When I looked up I see 4 or 5 birds maybe 80 -90 yds .away heading the opposite direction. I tapped my wife on the leg and told her I s...

Re: Side extension for a Remington 870 ?

You may want to check out some of the sites that sell to police depts. Seems like SWAT and other special ops teams may have what you need. Play nice with the "Camodude" and he might be able to help you out.

Re: Are turkeys going the way of the quail

Haven't seen or heard a quail here in Michigan in years. Some say deep snows, ice, farming practices ,drop in fur prices causing a population explosion in predators. Our turkeys are doing great in most areas. Even overflowing into residential areas where you never seen a turkey. I don't know what hap...

Re: 18 g/cc vs. 19 g/cc

So clarify something for me fellas. I always thought the diff. in 18 g/cc and 19 g/cc was the hardness of the metal and had nothing to do with weight.Which would mean volume to volume would weigh the same. Please feel free to clarify this for me. Thanks in advance. .

Measuring Beard length

OK,so today when I measured my gobblers beard I came up with 10 inches. After getting home and removing the beard I see 3 longer strands that are firmly attached to the rest of the beard . I now come up with 11 and 5/8th inches. Looking at the pics do you feel the correct measurement is 11 5/8ths. I...
